Property Surveyor - Housing Repairs (Westminster City Council)

These pivotal roles in maintaining and improving the council's housing stock, ensuring high standards of property management, repairs, and maintenance across a portfolio of 5,000 homes.

About the Role

As a Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing repairs, planned works, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance.
  • Managing contractor relationships to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Leading inspections and implementing strategies for property upkeep.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to deliver high-quality service.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in property surveying, repairs, and maintenance within a residential housing setting. Strong understanding of contract management and compliance with CDM regulations. Ability to diagnose building defects and specify remedial works. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
