General Repairs Surveyor

We are actively seeking a General Repairs Surveyor for an immediate start in the North London area. The role is initially on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent after 3 months.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct inspections across various properties to identify repair needs.
  • Prioritise repair work and coordinate schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure repair work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure all repair activities adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide professional advice on property repairs and maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of properties.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repair schedules, and completed works.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a General Repairs or Maintenance Surveyor role within Social Housing or Residential Housing
  • Strong understanding of building construction, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in report writing and record keeping.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel within the North London area.
