Our client, a Multi-disciplinary Consultancy providing high class services in surveying, engineering, project management and fire safety throughout England and Wales are seeking a Senior Surveyor / Associate. This is due to the growth of the business and would look to interview as soon as possible.

Our client is seeking a talented and skilled Senior Surveyor / Associate to work across both the advisory and consultant side, and the more project driven parts of our business. There is likely to be a project bias with the expectation that the candidate will be responsible for a number of projects, acting either as the contract administrator or as a lead consultant / project manager. The consultant and advisory work will include core building surveying functions such as defects diagnosis, planned maintenance programming, landlord and tenant matters, reinstatement cost assessments, party wall and general advice.

Depending upon experience and ability the successful candidate would have the opportunity to immediately head up a team of 4 surveyors.

Senior Surveyor Position Overview

  • Senior Surveyor to join a Multi-disciplinary Consultancy.
  • The role is national (primarily England and Wales) with a bias towards London and the Southeast and the successful candidate will operate out of London office.
  • Projects range in value from circa £500K up to circa £6m.
  • Typical projects include exterior renovation contracts, internal common parts and design work, private refurbishment projects and major façade remediation schemes.
  • It is possible that a suitably qualified and experienced quantity surveyor might fit the bill.
  • Building surveying functions such as defects diagnosis, planned maintenance programming, landlord and tenant matters, reinstatement cost assessments and party wall.

Senior Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience within Building Surveying.
  • Ideally Chartered but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience of the JCT suite of contracts is an absolute must.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of other contracts such as NEC would be helpful and experience in a range of procurement routes and forms of contract is expected.
  • The ability to lead a project team effectively is also a prerequisite.
  • The candidate will be self-motivated, will be efficient and organised in equal measure and al all-round high achiever.
