Lewisham Council is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Surveyor (Repairs and Mould & Damp). In this role, you will be responsible for conducting property inspections to assess repair needs, focusing on structural issues, plumbing and electrical problems, roofing defects, and mould and damp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough property inspections to assess repair needs, including:
  • Structural issues (cracks, subsidence, dampness)
  • Plumbing and electrical problems (leaks, faulty wiring)
  • Roofing defects (leaks, missing tiles)
  • Mould and damp (identifying sources and assessing severity)
  • Preparing detailed and accurate survey reports, including photographs and supporting documentation
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations for repairs and remedial works
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Adhering to relevant building regulations and industry best practices

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) Qualification
  • HNC (Higher National Certificate)
  • Proven experience in property inspections and building maintenance
  • Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Valid UK Driving License
