Responsible for the accurate and effective processing of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims. The role involves using systems like Capita and Workflow 360 (Comino) to manage documents and ensure the correct awards are made.

Maintaining benefit and Council Tax support records.

Promoting additional support for customers facing financial difficulties.

Ensuring all necessary evidence and information is requested promptly.

Checking the correctness of decision letters before they are sent.

Identifying and recovering overpayments.

Handling telephone and written enquiries from customers and their representatives
