Reed Accountancy is actively searching for candidates who are willing to join a dynamic and progressive accountancy firm with over 50 years of experience. We are looking for a Tax Semi Senior to join their busy Tax Department, providing comprehensive personal tax compliance services to a diverse range of clients. This role is ideal for someone with prior personal tax experience who is self-motivated and possesses strong communication skills.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage a portfolio of 120 to 150 clients, ensuring all personal tax compliance deadlines are met.
  • Prepare accurate and complete personal tax and capital gains tax returns.
  • Provide a self-assessment compliance service, including all aspects of personal tax compliance for partnerships and sole traders.
  • Handle employee benefits compliance, including the preparation of Forms P11D and PSA.
  • Liaise effectively with clients and HMRC officers on tax compliance issues and enquiries.
  • Record time spent on client affairs using relevant software, submit weekly timesheets, and ensure work is completed within budget.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions, such as tax webinars/seminars and CPD updates.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required to assist the Tax Department and provide additional client assistance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in personal tax compliance.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Computer literate with experience in relevant tax software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse client portfolio.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
