As a Semi-Senior within the Private Client team, you'll play a pivotal role in contributing to the businesses' growth and success. Using your technical expertise, you'll build relationships with clients, becoming one of our trusted tax advisers, and delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for the preparation of various financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards. You will:
- Be the central point of contact for client work within the team.
- Prepare personal tax returns, partnership tax returns, P11D's and PSA's for a variety of managers.
- Take ownership of the various areas of the job that you will be responsible for.
- Mentor, coach, and train junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and on-the-job training to support their professional development and enhance their technical skills.
- Maintain open and effective communication with the managers, providing regular progress updates, escalating issues promptly, and collaborating on resolving complex matters.
- Proactively manage budgets and time reporting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of billable hours and adherence to agreed-upon budgets and timelines.
- Foster strong client relationships by consistently delivering excellent client service, maintaining professionalism, and clearly communicating recommendations.
- Continually enhance your technical knowledge and skills through self-study, firm-provided training, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, and quality control processes within the Tax department.
You will be ideal for this role if you have:
- ATT part-qualification or are interested in gaining your ATT qualification
- Minimum of 1.5 years relevant UK work experience.
- Experience in preparing personal tax returns.
- Thorough knowledge of current accounting standards, techniques and best practice.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to provide guidance/training to junior staff members.Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
