Sterling Williams are working alongside a banking institution who are looking to hire a FX Settlements/operations officer.

This is a permanent positions, carries a salary of c£40,000 pa plus benefits, and operates a 5 day week based from the office (Central London).

Responsibilities of the FX Settlements officer below

  • Managing the settlement functions to ensure the correctness of positions and deals.
  • Covering the full spectrum of Customer Services activities during the absence of Administrative Officer in charge of Customer Services.
  • Maintenance and management of customer relationships to achieve total customers’ satisfaction via delivery of high quality customer services in order to attract and retain customers and to contribute towards achieving the Branch’s business growth and profitability targets.
  • Check and co-authorise credit items and timely payments within the limit and delegated signing authority
  • Handle queries/investigations in connection with Bank-to Bank payments.

The successful candidate will have/be

  • Previous Experience of working in a banking environment with exposure to Foreign Exchange Settlements
  • Degree Educated
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A team player with excellent relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliver timely completion
  • Attention to detail
