Day to day duties:

  • Assist with preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining accurate client tax records, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients to request information or respond to queries related to tax matters.
  • Handle routine communications with HMRC on behalf of clients and practice staff.
  • Input and update tax data into software systems, ensuring all records are current and accurate.
  • Prepare and distribute documents related to client tax affairs, such as tax computation summaries and payment reminders.
  • Set up and assist with client tax review meetings, including preparing relevant reports.
  • Coordinate tax filing schedules and manage deadlines for the tax team.
  • Support the tax team in producing monthly and ad hoc reports for management.
  • Assist with on-boarding new tax clients via Salesforce (full training provided).
  • Provide administrative support for the tax team as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills to effectively manage tasks and responsibilities
  • Experience working in a similar role within accountancy practice would be desirable
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including word, excel, PowerPoint and TEAMs
  • Good understanding of anti-Money Laundering and other mandatory regulatory compliance together with obtaining a sound understanding of internal processes and individual responsibility for reporting breaches
