Job Purpose

Oversee tax compliance and reporting for UK companies within the group, leading the UK Corporate Tax Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage UK tax compliance, including Lloyd's and US GAAP tax reporting.
  • Coordinate UK and US GAAP tax reporting and UK GAAP financial statement tax obligations.
  • Ensure procedures and controls comply with Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) provisions.
  • Provide tax advice on acquisitions, disposals, and business expansion projects.
  • Monitor UK and international tax changes that affect the business.
  • Manage Solvency II tax-related assessments (LACDT).
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with Tax, Legal, and Regulatory teams.
  • Identify and implement tax automation opportunities.
  • Oversee transfer pricing and Diverted Profits Tax (DPT) related to UK operations.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Skills & Experience

  • Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent.
  • Strong tax law knowledge and project management skills.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • UK tax experience in industry or public accounting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS tax reporting
