Horizon Teachers are looking for an SEND Teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding' Alternative Provision in Camden, the school in question is a very highly regarded SEND provision for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. The school are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher that has knowledge and background in personal care. The schools run on a highly altered curriculum which is tailored to the student's individual needs, this allows them to have each child move at their own speed and ensure that no one is left behind.The classes are groups of 8-10, made up of children aged 5-11. Each class has a class teacher and between 3-5 support staff, this allows for each of the children to receive the proper level of care needed. The facilities are state of the art as the school recently underwent works to allow them to deliver the highest level of care possible, so their students stay happy and comfortable.The Ideal person:
  • Will be an experienced SEND Teacher able to show experience and confidence in their daily duties.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with children that have Severe Learning Difficulties.
  • Have a good understanding of different special needs and have experience working with them.
  • Be able to plan and organise activities for the children to learn through unconventional means.
