Job Title: Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO)

Location: Hackney

Salary: £50,288 - £60,092 (M6 - UP3 Inner London)

Start Date: January 2025

About the role

As a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator, you will:

  • Lead the school's provision for pupils with special educational needs, ensuring inclusivity and high standards of care.
  • Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), combining strategic oversight of SEND with part-time classroom teaching responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with diverse needs, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver a tailored and effective SEN provision.

What we're looking for

The ideal Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator will have:

  • A NASENCO qualification
  • Proven experience as a teacher, SLT member, or SENCO in a school setting.
  • QTS
  • A passion for inclusion and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with SEND.
