A growing business is looking for an Area Sales Engineer to join the team. Along with a salary of up to £75,000 per annum, you will also receive a range of benefits including a commission scheme (15%), a pension scheme, a company car/car allowance and remote working, so you can be based anywhere in the UK. You will be joining a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, automation solutions and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, as well as environmental and green energy-focused sectors. Since its foundation 172 years ago, it has developed into a Group with approximately 30,000 employees, and more than 280 locations in over 80 countries worldwide.As Area Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining relationships with key clients, particularly EPCs and framework partners.
External sales/business development in Chemical and Food and Beverage market.
Liaising with clients.
Raising awareness of the company within the Pharmaceutical & Food markets.
Liaising with company personnel, in various global Product Homes, to ensure that the best technical and commercial offer is made and presented to the customer.
Attending customer meetings to lead or assist with tender submission, negotiation and contract construction.
Using the company CRM system, ensuring that it is maintained up to date with respect to sales activity.

We’re looking for an Area Sales Engineer with:

Experience from similar role (Capital Equipment - Chemical or Food marked)
Previous sales experience
Familiarity with process plant.
Good communication skills – able to work well with customers and colleagues
Forward planning abilities, analytical skills, and capable of instilling customer confidence
Knowledge of centrifuge technologies.
