  • Management of the network infrastructure and resources (including any bought-in services) required to plan for, develop, deliver and support Digital services and products to contribute to the achievement of the Council's corporate objectives.
  • Responsible for network specification and design.
  • Produce network design policies, philosophies and criteria covering connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery, access and remote access.
  • Deliver agile, evergreen services.
  • Create and maintain overall network plans to support the Council's business strategy, agree service level agreements with business users and plan all aspects of the infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of voice and data network services to meet such agreements.
  • Support the council's evaluation and migration from PSTN to VoIP networking, ensuring all assets are mapped and transitioned in line with industry standards.
