About the Role
A South West London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Commissioning Manager to drive improvements in its reablement services, ensuring the borough maximises the effectiveness, impact, and quality of its care offerings. This role will be pivotal in preventing, reducing, and delaying the need for long-term care.
- Develop a Proposed Service Model: Design a medium-term service model for reablement.
- Create Detailed Recommendations and Implementation Plan: Address key issues from the reablement review and deliver an actionable improvement plan for services in 2025/26.
Key Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Sector Expertise: Strong understanding of adult social care, including strength-based approaches and the wider health and social care system.
- Service Review Experience: Proven ability to review services, recommend improvements, and design new service models.
- Commissioning Knowledge: Experience with outcomes-based commissioning and contract improvement plans in adult social care.
- Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyse performance, financial data, and client feedback to identify trends and assess service performance.
- Decision-Making Ability: Competence in analysing complex situations and making informed decisions swiftly.
- Project Delivery: Proven experience in planning and delivering improvement projects within budget and on time.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Implementation Expertise: A track record of developing and executing successful improvement plans.
