Newly created Finance Systems - Operations Lead role now available at leading UK HQ law firm.

As the Finance Systems - Operations Lead, you will work closely with the Head of Finance Systems, on all things front facing and with the end users within Elite 3e and be a "go to" person for the wider finance team.

The wider finance team is a team of three people who are technical/ back end support. This role would have one direct report of a recent hire at Analyst level.

This role would suit someone who has worked in the Elite 3e space for 5- 10 years and is looking to take on a role within leadership.

Specific duties include:

  • Managing the Support mailbox (with the support of a wider functional team) and working closely with the IT Service Desk team
  • Being a "Go To" person for all key Finance Systems used by the Finance Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Keeping documentation of key setups and known issues up to date
  • Support Finance team and senior management team with 3E data extraction either direct from 3E or via Microsoft Reporting Services, including analysis and presentation utilising ad-hoc reports, SQL queries, design, and creation of new automated reports.
  • Review current systems processes and procedures and propose improvements to workflow and reporting processes to improve service and information delivery to enable internal and external clients gain maximum benefit from 3E and Microsoft Reporting Services functionality.
  • Lead Elite training initiatives for the Finance team and the wider business.
  • Work closely with IT team on technical systems initiatives and management of relationship with Thomson Reuters / Elite.
  • To develop the Operation Assistants within the team to make the team self-sufficient and to pass on knowledge as part of longer-term succession planning of the team.
  • The Operational Lead will also be involved in other ad-hoc projects as and when they arise.

Experience needed:

  • Must have experience in a focused Systems role for a law firm using Elite 3e
  • Experience in using other key Finance Systems such as Intapp applications (Time and Open), ARCS, Chrome River and Xcelerate
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team or individually to achieve business outcomes, maintaining constructive working relationships.
  • Used to dealing with key stakeholders and managing user expectations.
