MLC Partners are working with a South East based NHS Trust to support with the recruitment of an interim Head of ICT Services . This is a key leadership role within the ICT department, responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of all critical ICT systems that support frontline and back-office operations. This is a hybrid role and will require 3 days a week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of technical specialists responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all ICT infrastructure, including:
- Server infrastructure (physical and virtual)
- Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)
- Telephony systems
- Service Desk
- Data centre operations
- Security operations (including threat detection and response)
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all critical ICT systems, including those supporting patient care, clinical systems, and operational management.
- Develop and implement service improvement plans to enhance the quality, efficiency, and resilience of ICT services.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to ICT service availability and security.
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to understand their ICT needs and ensure that services are aligned with business requirements.
- Manage ICT service budgets and ensure value for money.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, clinical staff, and external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including data protection and information security standards.
Experience:
- Holds ITIL v3 Expert or ITIL v4 Master certification - ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience of implementing and managing ITIL service management processes
- Experience working within an NHS organisation
