Are you an experienced Oracle Fusion Systems Admin Manager looking for an exciting opportunity within the local government sector? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team on a 6-month contract, offering a competitive daily rate of £550-£650. This role is based in London with hybrid working options available.
About the Role:As the Oracle Fusion Systems Admin Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of the Oracle Fusion platform. This platform is crucial for managing the Council's core finance, human resources, and procurement processes. You will lead a team of system administrators, ensuring the smooth operation, availability, and performance of the Oracle Fusion system.
Key Responsibilities:- System Management: Oversee the configuration and maintenance of the Oracle Fusion platform, ensuring it operates efficiently and meets the Council's needs. This includes managing user access, security settings, and system configurations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Oracle system administrators, providing guidance, training, and career development to build a knowledgeable and effective support team.
- Technical Support: Manage the resolution of technical issues and system outages, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This includes analysing system logs, performance metrics, and alerts to proactively detect and resolve potential issues.
- System Optimisation: Continuously improve the system's performance and scalability by implementing best practices and making necessary adjustments. Ensure the platform is optimised for business-as-usual (BAU) performance and scalability in line with Oracle Best Practices.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Oracle system configurations, procedures, and operational processes to ensure consistent and repeatable support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Oracle Change & Release Manager to assess technical risks and enhancements to the system. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the system meets the organisation's needs and supports its goals.
- Incident Management: Lead the resolution of system incidents and outages in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring timely recovery and minimal impact on business operations. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and recurring issues, driving long-term fixes and preventive measures.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction. Ensure the team's product knowledge is aligned with Oracle's available provision and future roadmap.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion system administration, including configurations, setups, personalisations, and workflows. Expert-level technical knowledge of one or more Oracle Fusion products and access management within an Oracle Fusion system.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of system administrators, providing direction and support to ensure effective performance.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues. Experience in managing incidents and service requests within an ITIL environment, understanding SLA reporting.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts in simple terms and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and ensure the team meets deadlines. Experience in developing support documentation to ensure consistent and repeatable best practices.
- ERP Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle, with a deep understanding of integrated systems and primary business processes (finance, HR, procurement).
- Data Governance: Operational knowledge of data governance, protection, and GDPR to ensure appropriate data integrity and security.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining operational relationships with customers and vendors.
