Technology Transformation Assistant Manager

London, Manchester, or BirminghamHybrid (2 days a week in the office or client site)

Salary: Up to £59k + up to 15% bonus

The Opportunity:

Lorien's client, a top international consultancy firm are currently hiring a Technology Transformation Assistant Manager to join their Infrastructure Government and Health practice.

This position involves brining a technology perspective to a broad range of client issues, demonstrating how technology can be used to address problems and realize opportunities. The role focuses on executing strategy projects, requiring an understanding of how to roll out effect transformations.

The Role:

  • Design and deliver IT operating models that enable clients to get the most from their technology organisation
  • Develop digital and technology strategies alongside client teams.
  • Provide credible advice to clients on how to operate IT in the most effective manner.
  • Collaborate across other Connected Technology capabilities to improve and transform IT services for clients.
  • Work with other teams to support clients as they undergo digital transformation.
  • Identify emerging trends in the market and develop products and services that can be leveraged within the client base.
  • Support the growth of the Tech Strategy & Transformation capability through developing and supporting people.
  • Contribute to innovative thought leadership on technology topics including digital transformation, technology strategy, digital operating models, and delivering more effective and efficient technology services.
  • Champion how Tech Strategy & Transformation can help clients deliver more effectively and achieve their digital and technology ambitions.
  • Work as part of an engagement team in a leading capacity to deliver high-quality products and outcomes to clients and identify further opportunities to support them.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop lasting client relationships, actively building a network and range of experience to help address senior client needs.
  • Executive transformation solutions to problems of moderate complexity.
  • Experience with local government or central government (through consultancy or direct).
  • Experience leading workshops with stakeholders, looking into strategy 5 years in the future, operating model design, etc.
  • Ability to look at various technologies and benchmarking.
  • Participate in business development activity.

Essential Experience:

  • Digital experience in areas such as:
    • IT operating model design and implementation.
    • IT cost optimization and efficiency.
    • Digital transformation, such as business models, culture change, user experience, and business practices.
  • Familiar with technology trends and ways of working (for example DevOps)
    • Agile delivery methodologies.
