Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently recruiting for a WTG Installation Manager to join their team based in London on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Installation Manager/Engineer with a background in offshore wind or offshore T&I. For more information on this role see below:

Main Purpose of Job

The WTG Installation Manager will be responsible for the technical aspects of the WTG installation as well as the management and coordination of the WTG T&I work to a level as discussed and agreed with the WTG T&I SubPackage Manger and WTG Package Manager.
The role includes interface management and implementation of project management best practice whilst ensuring industry and business standards for quality and HS&E standards are upheld.
The individual will be working as part of a global business with teams and suppliers in many countries across Europe. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in Europe during the delivery of the WTG T&I scope.

Key Tasks

The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the WTG Installation Manager are as follows:
• Work closely with the WTG T&I Sub-Package Manager in the delivery of the WTG T&I scope'.
• Provide expert advice in relation to the delivery of the WTG T&I scope.
• Ensure the WTG T&I scope is delivered on time and following best industry practices.
• Manage and identify risks and opportunities related to vessel mobilisation, demobilisation and WTG installation, in accordance with EA3's procedure.
• Manage the technical aspects of the WTG transport and installation including the technical interfaces between the OEM and Vessel Operator during mobilisation, demobilisation and offshore operations.
• In collaboration with the WTG T&I Sub-Package manager develop a robust vessel mobilisation workflow and dedicated division of responsibility
• Implementing the T&I engineering plan
• Implementing WTG T&I risk management plan
• Contribute to obtaining MWS approval for the WTG T&I works
• Facilitate the Company's marine assurance procedure for the WTG T&I marine spread
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance with regulations, industry standards and company policies for the WTG T&I
• Responsible for obtaining approval from the EA3 Site Works Committee for the commencement of T&I works
Ensure that the WTG T&I spread complies with the EA3 Marine Coordination Plan/ Marine Operations Manual

Key Criteria
Essential
? Minimum 8 years' experience in offshore wind or offshore T&I, with 4 years' experience as an installation engineer level or equivalent
? Strong project management and communication skills
? Previous experience in demonstrating creative and proactive approaches to addressing engineering related challenges
? Proficiency in comprehending and interpreting engineering & construction specifications, reports, drawings, and other technical documents
? Knowledge of industry standards (such as DNV-ST-N001)

Desirable
? Previous WTG Installation experience
? Strong technical knowledge on T&I, jack-up installation vessels and mission equipment
? Working in multi-cultural and multi discipline teams.

Key Interfaces
The main functions and activities of the WTG T&I Installation Manager are as follows:
WTG Installation Management
• Reporting at project level to the WTG T&I Sub-Package Manager.
• Management of the WTG T&I technical aspects of the WTG package
• Supervise T&I Engineers within the sub-package
• Work with the Senior Engineers in EA3 to deliver the assigned technical scope
• Management of the complex interfaces between Vessel Operator and OEM
• Manage and monitor the performance of the OEM and Vessel Operator through the agreed DPRs (Daily Progress Report)
• Development and implementation of a robust vessel mobilisation workflow to ensure the mobilisation of the vessels is delivered on specification
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Foundations, IAC, marine assurance, MWS, Planners, Consents, Maritime Authorities, Port Authorities, etc.
• Ensuring lessons learned are captured in the IBR's online database
• Facilitating audits, inspections and factory/site visits as required
• Responsible for coordinating the preparation of the package's consent deliverables
• Leading a safety-first culture throughout the WTG T&I execution phase.
Engineering
• Inputting to and implementation of a sub-package engineering plan and management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to deliver the tasks identified within the engineering plan
• Set-up RoCs, HIRAs/HAZIDs and risk assessment as required
• Coordination of WTG T&I specific interface tasks required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the project's Interface Management Plan
• Ensure work which is related to EA3's CAR (Construction All Risk) policy is deemed acceptable by the project's MWS
• Provision of technical assistance to the consenting team to assist them in discharging the project's consent conditions.
• Planning of WTGs transport and installation, consistently with other project areas, and implementation of the Engineering Plan
• Review and approval of Contractors installation engineering activities and safe systems of work
• Responsible for interfacing with other packages to facilitate an efficient and cost effecting delivery of the project. This includes the seabed management plan
• Responsible for preparation of the T&I elements of any documents that are required to support the discharge of our consents.
Execution of the Works
• Responsible for the review, approval, and management of change of the Contractors procedures and engineering studies and analysis
• Working towards approval from EA3 Site Works Committee
• Liaison and management of the Marine Warranty Surveyor
• Manage the offshore client representatives on the WTG T&I installation vessels
• Collaborate with EA3's site management team
• Managing and applying the Vessel Assurance process
• Monitoring and reporting progress against programme Maintaining package and project trackers including lessons learnt, related to WTG T&I.
