Test Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Test Engineer (eDV Cleared). This is your chance to join a global SAAS firm with a heavy presence in the UK Defence and Intelligence space.

What You Can Expect

• Location – Cheltenham OR London (Hybrid)
• Salary - £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
• Work Type – 6 month rolling contract

Main Responsibilities as a Test Engineer (eDV Cleared)

• Create comprehensive test documentation (e.g, test plans, scripts, bug reports) for new features, user stories, patches and other releases.
• Develop and maintain automated regression test suites using tools like Cypress and JMeter for applications.
• Expand testing capabilities to include performance testing.
• Conduct thorough functional and non-functional testing of applications, including manual testing when automation is not feasible.
• Provide expert guidance on implementing optimal testing strategies for a classified end client.
• Maintain existing test suites for the content server application, ensuring usability for future releases and events.
• Perform assessability testing of applications using both manual and automated tools (e.g Axe or Wave).
• Provide consultation on development and testing best practices, continuous integration, non-functional testing and operational acceptance testing.

Core Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• Candidates must have live eDV clearance.
• Strong background as a Test Engineer.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test suites using Cypress, JMeter or Selenium).
• Proficiency in various testing methodologies (e.g functional, regression, performance and scalability).
• Experience in scripting languages for test automation such as Python or JavaScript.
• Ability to create clear and concise test documentation.
