- Collaborate with the sales team to define project scope and provide guidance on custom or bespoke work.
- Maintain and build relationships with suppliers to source materials and obtain competitive quotes.
- Analyse production costs, including time, materials, labour, and equipment, to create accurate project estimates for the sales team.
- Research suppliers and conduct site visits to assess capabilities and gather information on materials and outsourcing.
- Use the internal ERP system to generate estimates and ensure they align with company targets.
- Interpret technical drawings (CAD) to prepare precise estimates.
- Work with production, technical, and design teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Recommend improvements to increase profitability while maintaining or enhancing product quality.
- Support periodic reviews of catalogue collections and update costs, alerting leadership to significant changes.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and costing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Experience with estimating or costing within a design or manufacturing environment, particularly in the high-end interior design sector (preferred).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
