Are you passionate about fashion and committed to quality? Our client is on the lookout for a talented Garment Technician to join their dynamic technical department! This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of their product line and ensure they deliver exceptional garments to their valued customers.

Role Overview:As a Garment Technician, you will work closely with the Design and Buying teams, overseeing the garment development process from inception to production. You'll ensure the products meet the highest quality standards while reflecting brand ethos.

Contract Type: Temp ongoing with a possibility of going permanent Hourly Rate: £17.94 - £20.51

Location: Wandsworth Working Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Your Key Responsibilities:

Design Collaboration:- Partner with the design team to create and maintain up-to-date specification sheets.- Understand seasonal strategies and customer focus to align with garment technical requirements.- Develop standardised fits for core styles and maintain a well-organised fit library.

Production Management:- Organise and lead fit meetings, ensuring alignment with critical paths and budget constraints.- Provide suppliers with accurate technical data and feedback on fits, including adjustments to size charts.- Proactively manage quality issues by collaborating with suppliers and monitoring production stages.

Quality Control:- Conduct QC inspections on all incoming goods to ensure they meet our high standards.- Perform store visits for bulk spot checks to maintain product integrity.

Commercial Awareness:- Quickly address and resolve potential production issues with commercial judgement.- Assess supplier performance post-season to ensure ongoing quality improvement.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:In-depth understanding of garment design and production.Experience with diverse garment types and manufacturing operations.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Confident in leading fit sessions and influencing stakeholders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a passion for product.

Desirable:

Global factory/supplier experience and willingness to travel.Multi-product experience is a plus!
