Our client is a renowned nationwide leader in the construction and facilities management industry. Established in 1996, they have grown significantly and secured multiple blue-chip contracts due to their outstanding reputation.

They are currently seeking a Fabric Technician to join their team in the South East - West London region, Ideally living in Bromley or Croydon and working on a major blue-chip retail contract.

Job Description:

The Fabric Engineer will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of Fabric Technician duties, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance tasks. The role requires a customer-focused approach, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards and within safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks, from basic plumbing to maintenance to building fabric of the building. Multi-skilled role so a handy man who has relevant experience within a similar setting. 

  • Experience in the FM, retail or public building sectors is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients.
  • A flexible, proactive and customer-focused approach to your work.
  • A full UK driving licence, as driving is required for the role, due to the reactive nature of the works.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tasks performed.
  • Participate in an on-call rota.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a presentable, courteous, and helpful demeanour always.
  • Manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexibility to work out of hours when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

5 years of experience in a similar role required.

Full clean driving license.
