Job Title: Fabric Engineer

Are you an experienced Fabric engineer within the facilities sector? Seeking a new challenge within 2025. My client is an established FM company looking for a qualified and experienced Fabric engineer to join a team on a Static site based close to London. This is a great role for someone looking to join a company offering lots of progression and training.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabric Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on internal and external building fabric, including repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
- Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out planned maintenance to prevent deterioration, focusing on areas such as carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and general upkeep.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct repairs and maintenance following strict health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to reactive issues, diagnosing and resolving fabric issues quickly to minimize disruption.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination of more specialized repairs or refurbishments.
- Record Keeping: Document all work completed, ensuring maintenance logs and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Experience in fabric maintenance within commercial environments (e.g., office buildings, retail).
- Technical skills in general building maintenance: carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and minor plumbing.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
