Cleaning Attendants - £24,880 per annum (pro-rated) - London W10

The Role

Do you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces? Do you have experience delivering top-quality cleaning and customer service in public facilities?

We are seeking three part-time Cleaning Attendants to manage and maintain the new public toilet facilities on Acklam Road. This role ensures the facilities are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and security for public use.

You will help promote Westway Trust’s activities by sharing information with visitors in the area and demonstrate the Trust’s values of Courage, Equity, Integrity, Openness, and Sustainability in your work.

Note: Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (Operating hours: 7.45am to 6.45pm, Monday to Sunday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open, close, and secure the facilities, including managing access control systems.
  • Regularly check and clean all toilet cubicles, basins, mirrors, and surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, polish, and disinfect designated areas to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to the Facilities Manager.
  • Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor the facilities throughout the day to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Report any repairs, hazards, or accidents promptly.
  • Assist in distributing leaflets and publicising Trust activities to visitors.
  • Support team members and carry out additional cleaning tasks as needed.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ professional cleaning experience.

Physical stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to engage professionally with the public and team members.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and health and safety procedures.
