About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges, helping them to succeed academically and socially. You will support both students and teachers by implementing positive behaviour strategies and helping create a productive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students on a one-to-one and small-group basis, encouraging positive behaviour and focus in the classroom.
- Implement behaviour management strategies, working with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
- Build rapport and trust with students, encouraging resilience, confidence, and emotional growth.
- Liaise with teachers, support staff, and parents to provide consistent and coordinated support.
- Track and monitor student progress, offering feedback and adapting support plans as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a behaviour support or similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and positive in challenging situations.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning and personal development.
