Area Manager

Our client is seeking a new Area Sales Manager within the Kent/Essex area to join their growing team.

Offering an impressive salary of £39,000 plus a bonus structure in place, a company car and private health care insurance.

As an Area Manager, you will oversee the operations of multiple store locations. Your role is to ensure that each store achieves its sales targets, maintains operational excellence, and upholds the highest standards of customer service. You will coach and develop Store Managers, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, and work to enhance store performance through effective leadership, commercial insights, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities as and Area Manager:

  • Drive sales growth across stores by setting clear targets and performance expectations
  • Monitor sales performance and KPIs, ensuring targets are met or exceeded
  • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Store Managers, ensuring their continuous growth and performance improvement
  • Understands the key levers of EBITDA and how to control them through robust cost control
  • Conduct regular store visits to provide feedback, support, and coaching
  • Monitor stock levels and inventory management across the area, ensuring accurate stock control and minimising losses
  • Implement strategies to grow market share and build a strong local presence for each store

Requirements of an Area Manager:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or multi-site retail management role (Area Manager or equivalent)
  • Experience within the Hair and Beauty industry is preferred
  • Strong track record of driving sales growth and achieving operational success
  • Experience in managing, mentoring, and developing large teams across multiple locations
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
