Role Description

I am seeking an Electrical Contracts Manager for a Electrical and Building services company based in London.The Electrical Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing a recently awarded FIRE SAFETY WORKS contract, starting December 2024. The scope includes the following:

  • Fire detection and alarm systems (including smoke and heat detectors within dwellings and integrated systems in common parts)
  • Evacuation alert systems (to be used by Fire & Rescue Service)
  • Installation of fire / smoke dampers within flats onto communal ducts
  • Emergency and communal lighting
  • Smoke ventilation systems (mechanical and natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems including AOVs)
  • Lead and manage electrical contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.
  • Oversee the installation of fire detection and alarm systems, including integrated systems in common areas.
  • Coordinate the installation of evacuation alert systems for use by Fire & Rescue Services.
  • Supervise the integration of emergency and communal lighting, as well as smoke ventilation systems.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage the budget for assigned projects, including procurement and financial reporting.
  • Ensure effective communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in electrical project management and contract management skills
  • Knowledge of building regulations and electrical codes
  • Experience in coordinating with clients and contractors
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach to work
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • BS 8629,2019 Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Evacuation Alert Systems
