Role: Head of CDM/ Principal Designer

Location: London/ South East (Projects across the region)

Salary: Up to £75,000 - £80,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits package

WRG is supporting an multi-disciplinary property & construction consultancy who operate across London/ South East. The business is looking to appoint a Head of CDM/ Principal Designer to their team to oversee the newly established department. Our client has developed an excellent reputation over the years and they have an excellent reputation within the sector. property & construction space offering a range of professional services.

Our client oversees a portfolio of residential and commercial projects across London/ South East, offering a range of professional services (cost management, project management and building surveying). The role would suit an experienced senior level CDM/ PD professional from a consultancy background who is looking for the next step in their career and would like to join a dynamic business which is going through an exciting period of growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the new department and develop existing clients relationships.
  • Offer a range of CDM/ PD services to clients.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Manage the design risk register and keep this updated.
  • Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
  • Overall responsibility for department P&L, forecasting, invoicing, tendering, recruitment etc.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
  • Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
