I am working with a Transport Specialist consultancy that offer a variety of developers the complete planning and infrastructure design service. They're looking for a Senior Transport Planner in Central London with a proven ability to deliver development planning schemes including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans etc.

As a Senior Transport Planner you will be offered a salary of up to 50,000, discretionary bonus and a whole host of additional benefits.

The consultancy has 4 offices across the South West and you'd be joining a very established Central London office. They've been involved in projects from clients within sport & leisure facilities, NHS infrastructure and large scale residential developments.
You will need to show that you can liaise with clients comfortably, produce technical reports (e.g. Transport Statements) and junction modelling experience with Junctions9 would be beneficial.

Senior Transport Planner Requirements

  • Delivery of Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans;
  • Delivery of feasibility studies;
  • Assisting in the delivery of transport scheme business cases;
  • Assisting in the delivery of the Value for Money assessments and economic appraisals;
  • Undertaking active travel appraisals;
  • Development of traffic models and analysis;
  • Analyse, write and present results and reports;
  • Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Work as part of a team to develop solutions;
  • Support the Transport Planning Team by taking leadership and responsibility for the delivery of its tasks and projects; and
  • Continue to develop your professional skills as you progress your career.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Geography, Planning or related subject (Masters' Degree in Transport Planning desirable)
  • Working towards or chartered with a relevant professional body
  • Experience of producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
  • Experience of providing access feasibility advice
  • Detailed knowledge of, and the ability to apply appropriate design guidance, i.e. MfS, MfS2, DMRB
  • Experience in the use of relevant software, particularly Junctions 9/10 and LinSig
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft software, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint; and
    Knowledge of the planning process across the UK.
