Senior Traffic Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their Traffic Engineering team in North London.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to take the lead in development, review, design and consultation of a range of schemes to support developments where funding has been secured through s106/278 agreements.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of highways, traffic and transport-related legislation, as well as an understanding of the current planning, sustainability and economic agendas which influence delivery.

Responsibilities of the role:
路To develop solutions to highway, traffic and transport-related problems.
路To be responsible for feasibility studies, detailed design and delivery of schemes.
路To liaise and work with internal and external clients.
路To plan, programme and deliver projects in a timely and effective manner.
路To adhere to all council procedures relating to project work
路To write project briefs, draft reports, and provide information for presentations to the public and councillors.

Requirements of the role:
路An understanding of the principal responsibilities of the location government and the public sector in respect of highway, traffic and transport design and management.
路Experience and knowledge of highway-related safety legislation and practice.
路A thorough understanding of relevant highway management legislation and statuary duties.
路A record of successful and consistent delivery or traffic and parking schemes
路Possession of a relevant professional qualification and suitable experience
