Position Overview:The role of Senior Town Planner involves leading a diverse portfolio of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on planning matters, ensuring that clients achieve their development aspirations while adhering to relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of planning projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of planning applications, offering strategic advice.
  • Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and the community to facilitate effective communication.
  • Prepare and present high-quality reports, proposals, and planning applications.
  • Mentor and support junior planners, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay updated on planning legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Town Planning or a related field (MRTPI or equivalent preferred).
  • Substantial experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex planning projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in planning software and tools.
