Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Suffolk. As a key member of the traffic engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the traffic network, as well as supporting active travel initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on all stages of design, including, feasibility, preliminary, and detailed design.
- Active travel design experience.
- Experience of maintenance of carriageways/footway schemes.
- Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to deliver traffic engineering projects.
- Conducting site visits and assessments as required.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in traffic and highway engineering.
- Expertise in carriageway design and maintenance.
- Proficiency in all design stages, including preliminary, feasibility, and detailed design.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver within deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work 2 days a week from the Ipswich office.
