Consultant/SME (Airline Reservations)

A leading global provider of new generation IT solutions to the Travel, Transportation and Logistics industries is looking for a Consultant/Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Airline Reservations domain, who will be responsible for providing expert insights and guiding product teams to achieve successful outcomes. The Consultant will need to work with Product Owners, the Product Team and the Product Head to provide insights on current processes and to-be processes related to Offer, Order, Settle and Delivery (OOSD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Expertise: Offer in-depth knowledge and insights in the domain area of expertise to enable product squads to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research to stay updated on the latest trends and developments to enable product teams and also provide inputs for Industry and Customer engagements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify potential areas for airline process improvement and suggest innovative solutions.
  • Product documentation and presentations: Assist in the development, review, and presentation of product documentation. Conduct webinars and workshops on specific expertise areas.
  • Customer Support: Collaborate with teams to address customer needs and issues effectively.
  • Industry and customer engagement: Actively participate in industry events, forums and customer engagements.

Experience and Skills

  • 15+ years of domain experience in airline processes related to the Offer, Order, Settle and Delivery (OOSD) domain.
  • Experience in driving product solutions within and across airline systems as a Product Owner/Consultant.
  • Deep understanding of domains - Airline Retailing, Offer Order, PSS will be a key skill.
  • Prior technical hand-on experience is a key skill.
  • Stakeholder management experience both external and internal across industry, senior leadership, airline customers, and product teams.
  • Industry presence and experience (Industry conferences, panels etc.)
