Travel Sales Consultant - North AmericaFully Remote£20,000 - £23,500 salary, realistic OTE of £37,500On behalf of a market leading tour operator, we are recruiting two Sales Consultants to join a highly dynamic, growing, and successful organisation on a remote basis. You will have strong background in the travel industry, ideally with an excellent understanding of tailor making packages for the North American region. Are you a passionate and positive Sales Consultant with extensive knowledge of the North American travel market?Are you familiar with the most popular destinations and holiday types, including rail, motorhome, fly-drive, cruise and ski?This is a remote working opportunity with shift patterns falling between 9am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidates will also be required to work every third Saturday between 10am – 4pm.The successful North American Sales Consultants will:
  • Be inspired by their customers desires and be able to translate that into actual holiday package recommendations.
  • Have a good understanding and demonstrate experience of sales processes and methodologies.
  • Be consistently passionate about the brand and products and be able to relay this onto the customer.
  • Be able to quickly build rapport and view every call as an opportunity for you and the customer.
  • Be focused and drive to achieve targets in a contact centre environment.
  • Maintain a positive mindset and motivated to overcome challenges and objections.
  • Be highly organised and able to manage your own dairy and administration duties.
Expertise, Skills, and Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role, tailoring and selling holiday packages to North American destinations. 
  • Strong selling and influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicational skills.
  • Higher achiever who is target motivated.
  • Pro-active and able to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail, even when working under pressure.
  • Experience of travel and GDS booking systems (ideally Galileo).
There are two packages/commission structures available for the role. Basic salaries will range between £20,000 - £23,500 per annum, with average OTE currently sitting at £37,5000 (though top performers exceed the £50,000 a year bracket).
