Our client, a leader in offender learning, is currently seeking a Business Tutor to join their educational team at HMP Thameside in Greenwich, London. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in learners' lives by helping them acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to set up and run their own businesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and delivering high-quality business lessons focused on helping individuals to start their own businesses
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement
- Assessing learners' needs and developing individualised learning plans
- Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure optimal outcomes for all learners
- A teaching qualification would be desirable or equivalent subject specialist qualification
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Prior experience working with offenders
- Previous experience delivering training on starting up your own business/going self-employed
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
- A competitive salary package of £30,000 - £37,000
- Extensive annual leave which can be taken throughout the year and not restricted to school holiday times
- Regular working hours, 37 hours per week and 1pm finish on a Friday
