Are you passionate about supporting children with autism, and behavioural needs? Long Term Futures is seeking a Positive Behaviour Specialist to join a dedicated team in an inclusive primary school in North London. This long-term role offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group teaching using principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour Analysis, under the direction of the Class Teacher.
  • Support pupils during lessons with strategies tailored to individual behaviour plans and learning targets.
  • Positively and consistently manage challenging behaviour, recording incidents in line with school policies.
  • Supervise and assist pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Address personal care, health, and hygiene needs, keeping accurate records and liaising with the Class Teacher.
  • Dispense medication occasionally, following established school protocols.
  • Collect and analyse data to support planning and assessment in collaboration with the Class Teacher and ABA Tutor.

About You:

  • Proven experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or specialist setting.
  • Knowledge or experience in ABA and behaviour management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Kind, reliable, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
