ESOL Tutor - South East London - Lewisham

Remedy are looking for ESOL tutors in and around Lewisham to tutor young students who need to help with speaking and learning English.

The Successful ESOL Tutor will be someone who is positive, flexible, and able to plan engaging sessions in order to work towards desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with students to overcome barriers to learning
  • Implement teaching and learning strategies to make sessions engaging and motivating
  • Focus on topics including reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
  • Complete weekly reports of student's engagement, attainment, and weekly attendance.
  • Liaise with multi agencies which could include a young person's school, social worker, or family members

Requirements

  • Must hold an EAL/ TEFL qualification or equivalent
  • Have experience of previously working effectively with young people
  • Be someone who is compassionate, caring and understanding
  • Be able to work in the South London area specifically around Lewisham
