React Front End Developer

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is looking for a talented developer to join their dynamic team for a 12-month contract. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Position: React Front End DeveloperContract Length: 12 monthsDaily Rate: £700 - £750 (inside IR35 via umbrella)Location: Canary Wharf, London (4-minute walk from Canary Wharf train station) 3 days onsiteKey Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user-friendly web applications using React.js, Typescript, and state management tools like Redux or Recoil.
  • Optimise application performance through techniques such as memoization and useCallback.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and handle asynchronous operations effectively.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create wireframes and enhance user experience.
  • Troubleshoot complex React-related issues and provide effective solutions.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as a front end React developer, demonstrating proficiency in React.js and Typescript.
  • Solid hands-on experience with AG Grid and a clear understanding of CSRM/SSRM/Viewport RM/Full RM.
  • Familiarity with popular React component libraries such as MaterialUI, Ant Design, or Semantic UI.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
  • Experience with front end tools like Webpack, Babel, Yarn, and Npm.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services sector.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of C# and experience with desktop and web services, .Net core, and distributed micro-services architectures.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and functional programming principles.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, along with general SQL experience.
  • Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or uDeploy.
  • Prior experience with WPF is a plus.
