About the role
The position sits within our BX Online vertical and specifically our Customer & Loyalty Team. The teams focus areas are the new identity (authentication layer) that powers our website and loyalty (loyalty program, points, vouchers). We are in a multiyear journey of technical transformation which means that occasionally we are engaged on several lift and shift activities, re-writing or replacing legacy logic.
Key requirements:
- Fluent in Javascript/TypeScript
- Experience with React and specifically NextJs
- Experience with NodeJS
- Experience with Docker and docker-compose.
- Exposure to AWS specifically S3, ElasticCache
- Exposure to modern CI/CD platforms like Gitlab (or similar GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
- Understands the importance of monitoring and proactive in resolving critical issues.
- Exposure to CDNs and specifically Akamai
- Fluent in testing frameworks Playwright
- Desirable:
- Exposure with monitoring and alerting platforms. Datadog, PagerDuty
- Exposure in deployment platforms like Kubernetes and tools like Helm.

At Holland & Barrett, we've embraced hybrid working, splitting our time between our Nuneaton and London offices and the convenience of working from home. This position is largely based from home, with occasional travel to the office when we like to meet up.
