Position Summary:
Working as part of a small technical team. You will be required to undertake mechanical & electrical maintenance, repair and rudimentary fault finding on rail vehicles, specifically Electrostar Stock, ensuring that the fleet can operate safely. Your job role will have varied duties and tasks will include:
* To undertake all types of mechanical / electrical fault finding and repair on Rolling stock units to ensure that a reliable, safe and defect free train is provided.
* Responsible for ensuring that any maintenance undertaken at the depot is done so in accordance with the company's safety regulations. Any maintenance undertaken by the should not infringe on the customers timetable unless the safety of the set is compromised.
* Undertake electrical & mechanical fault finding and investigation on specific technical issues.
* Train preparations
* Working in a remote team.
* Applying necessary protection before working on units.
Person Profile/Experience:
You should be or have experience:
* Proven ability to carry out routine maintenance from written instructions.
* Knowledge of computer-based system to record and close out work completed.
* To be able to prioritise work to maximise output with resources available.
* UK driving license desirable.
People from the following backgrounds will be consider Rolling Stock, Aviation, HGV, PCV, Marine, Automation, Armed Forces Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Plant, or similar industries
Qualifications:
A Level 2 qualification or higher in an Engineering discipline is a requirement.
