We are seeking a skilled and organized Transport Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our delivery service, ensuring our products arrive on time and in perfect condition.
Role overview:
As the Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our delivery fleet, coordinating routes, managing drivers, and ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will also maintain compliance with health and safety standards and ensure vehicles are well-maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate delivery routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage, train, and motivate the team of delivery drivers.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles meet safety and legal standards.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Liaise with bakery staff to coordinate the timely dispatch of products.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations.
- Maintain records of delivery logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.
- Resolve any delivery issues or complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Valid driving license.
- Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role, ideally within the food industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routes and schedules.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
- Proficient in route planning and logistics software is an advantage.
