We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Technician to join our team. As an MOT Technician, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards set by the Ministry of Transport (MOT). Your role will involve carrying out tests, identifying faults, and performing necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles according to DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Identify and diagnose faults accurately, using diagnostic equipment and manual methods.
- Carry out necessary repairs and replacements, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and advancements in automotive technology.
Requirements:
- Qualified MOT Tester with a valid DVSA license.
- Proven experience as an MOT Technician, preferably in a fast-paced automotive workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK clean driving license.
- Must be over 23 years of age for insurance purposes
