Day-to-day of an Engineering Lecturer:

  • Teach BTEC Firsts and Nationals qualifications in Engineering, ensuring high levels of student engagement and achievement.
  • Utilise your strong background in Engineering to provide expert knowledge and support to students.
  • Motivate and support students throughout their studies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, helping them understand complex concepts and encouraging their academic growth.
  • Commit to obtaining a Level 5 teaching qualification within a designated timeframe if not already qualified.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Engineering Lecturer post:

  • Appropriate experience teaching BTEC Firsts and Nationals in Engineering.
  • A teaching qualification or the commitment to obtain a Level 5 qualification within a designated timeframe.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and support students.
  • A 'can do’ attitude and a keen sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Ability to address everyday challenges with a positive approach.
