Job Title: Intervention Tutor

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Intervention Tutor to support Year 10 and 11 students on a 1:1 basis across core curriculum subjects, including Maths, English, and Science in Hackney. This role involves working with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their academic potential in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition session in Maths, English, and Science to Year 10 and 11 students.
- Support students with SEMH needs, using strategies to build confidence and engagement.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with school staff and parents to ensure continuity of support.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science.
- Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar support role.
- A teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) or relevant tutoring experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
