We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Aviation to join a dedicated team at a leading educational institution in the Greater London area. In this role, you will teach and support aviation courses, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the aviation sector.As a Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in shaping students' academic journeys, delivering engaging lessons, and contributing to curriculum development. You will guide and motivate learners, ensuring they are prepared for careers in the aviation industry.
Key Duties:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons across a range of aviation topics, including aerodynamics, flight operations, and aviation safety.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work, including assignments, projects, and practical activities.
- Offer academic guidance and pastoral support to students throughout their learning journey.
- Contribute to curriculum development and improvements to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development opportunities.
- A relevant degree or qualification in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related subject.
- A full UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience teaching aviation-related subjects at further education or training level.
- Industry experience within the aviation sector.
- Strong knowledge of aviation education, flight principles, and safety regulations.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (mandatory requirement).
- Experience working in aviation settings, such as airlines, airports, or aerospace engineering.
- Knowledge of current developments and best practices in aviation education.
- Ability to support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the Greater London area.
