- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in electrical installation to students at various levels.
- Develop and maintain course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with industry standards and qualifications.
- Provide support and guidance to students, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve and update the curriculum and teaching practices.
- Maintain a safe and professional learning environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Undertake any administrative duties related to the role, including record-keeping and reporting.
- A relevant qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or a willingness to obtain one.
- Proven experience working in the electrical installation industry, with up-to-date knowledge of current practices and regulations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential.
- Experience in delivering training or education is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in delivering electrical installation courses in a Further Education setting.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.
- A student-centred approach to teaching, with a commitment to enhancing the student experience.
