About the Role:We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Performing Arts Lecturers to join our agency with the view of securing a place at one of our Further Education and Training Colleges in South London. As a Performing Arts Lecturer, you will inspire and guide students through their academic journey, teaching a range of modules in Performing Arts, from practical performance techniques to theory-based studies. You will contribute to the development and delivery of an innovative curriculum that fosters creativity, talent and professional skills in aspiring performers.Key Responsibilities of a Performing Arts Lecturer:

  • Plan, deliver and assess a range of Performing Arts courses, including but not limited to Drama, Dance and/or Music.
  • Design and implement engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles, helping students achieve their full potential.
  • Provide high-quality feedback to students on their work and progress.
  • Support students in preparing for performances, assessments and exams.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and professional learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities, including extra-curricular activities.
  • Support students in their personal and professional growth, encouraging a passion for the arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the Performing Arts department continues to grow and innovate.

Qualifications and Experience of a Performing Arts Lecturer:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Performing Arts or a related field.
  • Relevant UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in teaching and assessing Performing Arts at Further Education and Training level.
  • Expertise in at least one area of Performing Arts (e.g., Drama, Dance, Music).
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, registered on the Update Service or issued within the last year.

Desirable as a Performing Arts Lecturer:

  • Experience in directing or producing student performances.
  • Knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques.
  • Experience in using digital tools and platforms to support teaching.
  • Willingness to travel around South London as required.
