This is a dynamic, fully integrated construction company comprising 11 specialist businesses, delivering end-to-end solutions across the entire construction lifecycle. With 50% growth in the past 9 months and consistent wins over legacy competitors, our client is now looking for their first Learning & Development Manager to help build a world-class people development function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the HR Director and leading two L&D Advisors (Early Careers & E-Learning focus)
• Ensuring Training suppliers are designing and delivering impactful training programs aligned with business values: excellence, safety, sustainability, and social responsibility
• Leading Training Needs Analysis and competency frameworks across office and site teams
• Driving safety, compliance, and sustainability training initiatives including CPDs and green practices
• Creating career pathways, mentorship programs, and leadership development plans
• Promoting diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing through targeted programs
• Supporting employees seeking chartership (RICS, CIOB, ICE) and early career development
• Introducing innovative digital learning through LMS, mobile platforms, and remote training modules
• Tracking training KPIs and measuring impact across the business
• Corporate Social Responsibility - embedding social value into learning - working with communities on education, housing, and employment initiatives
• Managing the L&D budget, sourcing external providers, and ensuring cost-effective delivery
• Building and championing the L&D brand internally to foster a culture of continuous growth
